Greta I. Scott, 54, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Amarillo. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 13, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Greta was born August 16, 1955 in Altoona, Kansas to Jacob and Donna Myers. She graduated from Perryton High School and was a cashier. She devoted her spare time to knitting blankets for children in any hospital where there was a need. She had been a resident of Perryton and Amarillo before moving to Dumas in 2003. Greta was a kind, caring and loving mom, grandmother, sister and friend. She was Greta to no one and Mom to all. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Wanda Townsend. Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Boggs and Ismael Moya of Dumas sons, B.G. Homfeld and wife Theresa, Bradley Scott and wife Traci all of Amarillo sisters, Doris Elston of Beaver, Okla, Cindy Lewis of Perryton 8 grandchildren, Warren Lee, Gregory, Seriena, Seth, Kirsten, Kayleigh, Brayden and Bryce many aunts, uncles, nieces and friends who loved her dearly. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Childrens Home, PO Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114. The family will be at 124 Amherst in Dumas.
