Harriet Elaine Abell

Harriet Abell, 82 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, November 08, 2011. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. on Friday, November 11, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Dumas. Rev. John Conley, pastor of the church, will be officiating. Private family interment will be at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Harriet was born on March 1, 1929, in Green Ridge, Missouri to Ralph and Ellen Hollenbeck. She was united in marriage to William Bill Abell on June 6, 1948 in Lamont, Missouri. They have shared their life together in Dumas since 1966. Harriet was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dumas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ellen Hollenbeck. Harriet is survived by her husband, Bill of the home two sons, William F. Abell and wife Janine of Hawaii, and Ralph H. Abell and wife Laura of Laramie, WY one sister, Rowena Easter and husband Dick of Hot Springs Village, AR three cousins, Dot Hollenbeck, Millie Sloan and husband Darryl, and Jean Hollenbeck, all of Green Ridge, MO and three grandchildren, Ashlyn Abell of Austin, Toby Abell of Dumas and Ryan Abell of Laramie, WY. The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029, or to First Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 1118, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 315 S. Birge in Dumas.
