Harvey Kinikin Jr, 39, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2009. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Jon Pitman, youth pastor. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with flag detail by American Legion Post 224 of Dumas. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Harvey Kinikin Jr. was born July 7, 1970 in Dumas, Texas to Elizabeth and Harvey Kinikin Sr. He was a graduate of Dumas High School in 1988 and was a pilot and land developer. He served in the US Air Force in 1989 to 1993, where he acquired his love for flying. With David Bounds they owned Graystone, which developed land and built homes. He also owned and operated Texas Concrete until 2005 and then operated New Dawn Development. Harvey was a lifetime resident of Dumas until he moved to Amarillo in 2006. He was preceded in death by his father Harvey Wayne Kinikin Sr; grandfathers, Fred Catherall Sr, John Kinikin and Ted parker, and his brother-in-law Jim Robinett. Survivors include; his daughter, Brittney Kinikin of Canyon; sons, Braden and Broc Kinikin of Dumas; parents, Liz and W.G. Stavenhagen of Dumas and Marglen Kinikin of Waxahachie; sister, Yvette Robinett of Sunray; brothers Clint Vorachard and wife, Julee of Justin, Kody Kinikin of Amarillo, Jared Vorachard of Round Rock; step-brother Craig Stavenhagen and wife, Terry of Las Cruces, NM; step-sisters, Candi Coleman and husband, Gabe, Mandi Werth all of Dumas; grandmothers, Pauline Parker of Dumas and Norma Jean Kinikin of Etter; 4 nieces, 5 nephews and numerous aunts and uncles. The family suggests memorials be to Sunray Baptist Church, Family Life Center Fund, PO Box 550, Sunray, TX 79086. The family will be at 818 Normandy in Dumas.
