Hazel Marie Martin, 86 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Chris Fobbs, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Hazel was born on October 12, 1934 in Tahlequah, OK to William and Alta (Napier) Fears. She had been a resident of Dumas for 65 years. She married the love of her life J.W. "Jug" Martin in Clayton, NM; they were married for 54 years. She went to work for Ideal Food Store which eventually became Safeway where she retired after 25 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Hazel was a very kind and selfless lady who put others needs ahead of her own. She loved to garden, work in the yard, and enjoyed living in Hawaii with Jug for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Donna Page; brother-in-law: Don Martin; brothers: Cleo, Waco, Cletus Fears; sisters: Ludema Taylor, Icalee White, Billie Sue Ward, and Alma Mae Wallace.
Hazel is survived by her husband, "Jug" of the home; sons: Bruce Page and wife Debbie of Houston, TX, Jeremy Martin and wife Felicia of North Dakota, and Michael Martin of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Andrea Gotham and husband Frank of Tomball, TX, Randy Page and wife Jessie of Guy, TX, Derek Brosky of Tomball, TX, Taylor Brosky of San Francisco, CA; sisters-in-law: Ernestine Martin of Dumas, TX and Elsie Loman-Grimes and husband Jack of Arkansas; 8 great-grandchildren.
