Heidi Jo Smith

Heidi Smith, 41, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Heidi was born on December 25, 1975 in Gunnison CO to Jim and Bobbie (Meadows) Higgins. Heidi had worked as a CNA, a cake decorator and most recently drove a school bus for Dumas Independent School System; where she was loved by all the kids. Heidi loved to be outdoors where she enjoyed skiing, camping and fishing. In her short 41 years, she touched so many lives. She was of Christian faith. She is survived by her sons: Caleb Smith and Vanessa of Dumas and Jacob Smith of Dalhart; daughters: Hannah Smith of Dumas and Gracie Smith of Dalhart; mother: Bobbie Higgins of Dumas; father: Jim Higgins of Gunnison, CO; brother: Jimmy Higgins and wife Lisa and their son Scotty of Lake City, CO; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
