Helen E. Gray, 63 of Ogden, NY, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas. Local arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Helen was was born on October 11, 1949 to Glenn and Frances Deen. She grew up going to school in a one room school house, during which she lived in California. She went to MCC, then she went to U of R, where she obtained her nursing degree. Helen worked as a Nurse Practitioner for 13 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, and she was a member of the Rochester Womens Chorus. She loved holidays, because thats when her family came over to her home to see her. She was most passionate about her family, they gave her great joy. Helen was a great cook, and a gardener, she liked to read a lot, especially murder mysteries. Her favorite snack was Wheat Thins. The best way to describe her is that she was a very intelligent woman, she was generous, resilient, and she was very social and strong willed. To know her was a privilege. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Frances Deen brothers, Daniel Deen and Paul Deen.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Patty Scott NauHix and Tim Agnieszka Nau grandchildren, Chase, Cassidy, Carter, Nathan, Daniel Jennifer sister, Peggy Deen.
