Helen Snell, 89 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Helen was born on June 18, 1930 to David and Lorene (Baker) Ham in Goodlett, TX. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Snell in 1950; he preceded her in death on June 7, 1996. Helen worked for JC Penny for many years until her retirement. She was a precious woman that loved her family very much. Her aspiration was to be a mother, she devoted her life to her family. Helen loved to sew and taught her daughters to sew as well. She was an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed quilting.
Helen had a deep and abiding love for God and was very active in her church. When she lived in Dumas, she had been a member of the First Baptist Church. She was dedicated to helping others, so she volunteered at the Dumas Hospital and sometimes at the schools. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Oran and Don Ham.
Helen is survived by her daughters: Linda Bowers of Willow, CA, Barbra Leach of Borger, TX, Nancy Bradshaw of Stanton, TX, Lora Morgan of Pueblo, CO; son: Gary Snell of Ruidoso, NM; sister: Lois Belcher of San Antonio, TX; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
