Hertha K. Pax

Hertha K. Pax 85 of Dumas passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2007 at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Rev. Don Poole, pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. Pax was born February 16, 1922 in Hamilton County, Texas to George and Johanna Tiemann. On July 18, 1940 she married Herbert Ernst Pax at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1992. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1949 and was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed people. Hertha spent her lifetime serving as a caregiver to the elderly. Survivors include: two sons, Milton Pax and wife Sandy; Elton Pax and wife Joyce both of Dumas; six grandchildren, Janna, Javonna, Sandra, Dawn, Robin, Jason; and twelve great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church Building Fund, 207 S. Meredith, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 303 Bailey and 130 Dallam in Dumas.
