Higinio Urias

Higinio Urias, 84 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stephen Cervantes, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Higinio was born on April 29, 1930 in Marfa, TX to Higinio and Delores Valenzuela Urias. He had been a resident of the community for many years and had worked for Hudson Farms for more than 20 years. Higinio enjoyed life and was a people person he never met a stranger. He was a loving and devoted father. His family gave him great joy. Higinio will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded death by his parents, his wife, Mary Urias in 2000 two brothers: Cal and Lupe two sisters: Nina, and Tala granddaughter: Sissy Rivera. Higinio is survived by three daughters: Rosemary Cervantes and husband Oscar of Odessa, TX, Janice Rivera and husband Albert of Amarillo, TX, Michelle Spicer and husband Ernie of Miramar, FL two sons: Jr. Urias and wife Eve of Corpus Christi, TX, Tony Urias and wife Diane of Grand Island, NE a brother Joe Urias and wife Mary Helen of Kansas City, MO nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.
