Isabel Ramirez Casaz, 87 of Dumas, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. The Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock in the evening on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Isabel was born on July 8, 1929, in Dalhart, TX to Ascension Cruz Ramirez and Cristina De Velasco. She had been a resident of Dumas for over 65 years. Isabel was united in marriage to Roger Casaz on July 13, 1951, in Dalhart, TX; he preceded her in death in 2002. Isabel was a loving woman who considered church her highest priority and would always help those in need. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Isabel was a devoted homemaker and was very proud of her children and grandchildren's accomplishments. Her dogs brought her much joy, as well as cooking, baking and talking with people. Isabel also loved to dance. She was an avid sports fan and especially liked watching the Dallas Cowboys. Isabel will be missed dearly by all who loved her. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son Roger Casaz Jr.; 10 brothers and sisters. Isabel is survived by her daughters: Teresa Castro and husband Cleo of Cactus, TX, Stella Casaz of Amarillo, TX, Delores Camarillo and husband Jesse of Amarillo, TX, Cecilia Nevarez and husband Nick of Dumas; sons: Richard Casaz of Dumas and Anthony Casaz and wife Stacy of Edmond, OK; brothers: Selso Ramirez and wife Josie of Dalhart, TX and Jimmy Ray Montoya and wife Maxine of Tucumcari, NM; brothers-in-law: Robert Casas and wife Bonnie of Amarillo, TX and Daniel Casas of San Antonio, TX; a sister-in-law: Ellen Casas of Florence, MS; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous other extended family members. The family requests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 1535, Dumas, TX 79029.
