Jackie Dean Davis

Jackie Dean Davis, 83 of Dumas passed away on December 5, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Swanson, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock on Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Jackie was born on June 24, 1941 in Hobart, OK to Shirley Homer and Nobie Lee (Brady) Davis. He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer making jet fuel for rockets. After his release from the Army, he moved to Dumas where he worked at American Zinc and later for Diamond Shamrock for 28 years until his retirement. Jackie loved to fish and camp. He also was a true OU Sooner fan. Jackie was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother: Garland Davis; sisters: Margaret Harrison and Frances Miller, Shirley Reynolds; grandson: Leland Tipton; granddaughter: Shelby Lynn Davis.

Jackie is survived by son: Kelly Davis and wife Amy of Dumas, TX; daughter: Terri Gambrell of Groom, TX; grandchildren: Abby Homer, Ariel Barnes, Christen Norton, Sheldon Bonney, Adalynn Bonney, Killian Davis; great-grandchildren: Brandi Tipton, Eryka Homer, Tyler Barnes, Damien Melton, Raevyn Melton. Also survived by Kelly and Terri’s mother, Linda Ely.
