James L. Fagan, 88 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11:00 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Mt McCurry Cemetery, Rudy, AR with Jack Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 o'clock in the evening on Friday, June 19th at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma, AR. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas, Texas. James was born on February 27, 1927 to Ernest and Eula May (Oneill) Fagan in Garner, Texas. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the V.F.W., Pasadena, Texas. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in 1985. James enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening, and also liked to bowl and play cards. James was of the Baptist faith and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Darryl Fagan, Ed, Ludell, Leola, Doug and Keith. James is survived by three children, Allen Fagan and his wife Tish, Plano, Texas; Denise Norman and her husband Stanley, Dumas, Texas and Karen Mobley and her husband Mark, Kingwood, Texas; one sister, Charlotte Pinedo; three brothers, Bobby, Jerry and Johnny Fagan; his grandchildren, James E. Fagan, Stephanie Greenough, Darryl Fagan, Jr., Ryan Fagan and wife Mallory, Paul Norman and wife Sara, Aliese Abraham and husband Adrian, Blake Pennington and Courtney Pennington and great-grandchildren Gracyn May Abraham, Dalton Greenough, Gunner and Gage Fagan plus many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029.
