James D. Frye

James Jim Frye 66 of Dumas passed away June 7, 2010 in his home. Jim will be laid to rest in Caldwell Idaho. No local services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Jim was born January 6, 1944 in Clovis New Mexico to B.C. and Jean Frye. He played on the state championship Dumas football team in 1961 and later graduated from Dumas High School in 1962. For 32 years Jim had worked as coowner of an electrical wholesale supply company in Idaho before moving back to Dumas in 2002. He worked for Potter Trucking and for Moore County before his retirement. Jim loved hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father B.C. Frye and his brother Billy Frye. Jim is survived by his mother Jean Frye of Dumas a daughter Cari Heck and husband Brian of Caldwell Idaho two grandsons, Bowdy and Gage Heck, and many relatives and friends who loved him. The family suggests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 1535 Dumas TX 79029. The family will be at 1009 Phillips Drive and welcomes prayers and condolences.
