James Earl Garcia, 48, of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Fobb, pastor of the church, officiating, and assisted by Rev. Jesse Garcia. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
James was born March 12, 1969 in Lubbock, TX, Rev. Juan I. and Severa (Loza) Garcia. He lived in Dumas most of his life. James was a special caretaker for his mother. He did odd jobs and had a passion for airbrush painting. James loved the simple life and enjoyed collecting action/adventure comic books. He was a history buff and spent many hours watching the History Channel. James loved his family and his children. He will be missed by all who knew him.
James is preceded in death by his father: Rev. Juan I Garcia.
He is survived by his mother, Severa Garcia of Dumas, brothers: Johnny and Mary Garcia of Dumas and Jesse and Melissa Garcia of Denver City, TX; sister: Sylvia Garcia and Kenneth Stevens of Dumas; sons: Samuel Garcia of Oklahoma, Alexander Garcia of Wolforth, TX and Andrew Garcia of Lubbock; daughters: Victoria and Sara Garcia of Wolforth, TX, and Esmeralda Garcia of Amarillo, TX.: he is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren.
