James Edwin Lamkin

James Edwin Jimmy Lamkin, 61, of Channing, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, October 10, 2009 with Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of South Georgia Baptist Church and longtime friend officiating. James Edwin Jimmy Lamkin was born May 11, 1948 in Dalhart, Texas to James and Irene Lamkin. He learned to deal with his disabilities by keeping a good sense of humor and was a Channing resident most of his life. He was the Channing Basketball Eagles biggest fan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include; several cousins including his caregiver,Linda McKay Utter. The family requests memorials to a favorite charity
