James Stewart 66 passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Damon Akin, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Rev. Allen Turley. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
James was born November 12, 1941 in Dumas, Texas to Orville and Hazel Stewart. On March 21, 1983 he married Kathryn Taylor in Clayton, NM. He was owneroperator of Stewarts Dirt Work Redi-Mix for 23 years before retirement. In 2006 he started Stewarts Grader Service. James was a life time resident of Dumas and a member of First Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Ray Stewart in 1993 and brothers Benny and Charles.
Survivors include; his wife, Kathy of the home; daughter, Lisa Smith of Dumas; sons, Jimmy Stewart and Jason Stewart of Dumas; step-daughters, Lisa Williamson of Austin, Beverly Savage of Ft. Collins, CO; step-son Danny Williamson and wife, Lisa of Hurst, TX; brothers, Bobby Stewart and wife, Sandy of Balko, OK, Norris Stewart and wife, Dortha, Joe Stewart and wife, Ann; sister, Levella Garcia and husband, Jesse all of Dumas; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
