Jason Duby, 40 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Reverend Billy Rammage, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Etter, officiating and assisted by Grady Burkhalter. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Jason was born October 26, 1974 in Dumas, TX to David and Sheila (Sosebee) Duby. He attended Dumas schools as well as the Amarillo College Auto Mechanic's Program. Jason loved watching westerns, listening to rock music, camping, fishing and cooking. Jason has been described as someone with a big heart, who would have given people anything he had. He was very good with kids and loved to do activities with them. He was fond of giving gifts, which made Christmas a favorite holiday for Jason. Everyone who was fortunate to know Jason will miss him. He was preceded in death by his Mema', Wilberta Sosobee; and his son, William Zackery Duby. Jason is survived by his mother, Sheila Sosebee Chambliss and Stepfather Rudy Chambliss, of Dumas; grandfather: William Sosebee; two sisters: Jennifer Watters and husband Rusty (Jason's best friend) of Dumas and Brenna Jones and husband John all of Dumas; an aunt: Mae Adams of Dumas; numerous nieces and nephews: Brett Rice and Karrissa Rice, Katelynn and Casandra Jones; and many great nieces and great nephews. Jason is also survived by his loving canine companion; 'Pinky'. The family suggests memorials be made to Alcoholics Anonymous 107 N. Hughes Street Amarillo, Texas 79107.
