Jeanette Melton

Jeanette Melton, 81 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Gruver Cemetery with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Virgie Jeanette Melton was born October 3, 1933 in Spearman, Texas. Jeanette worked for many years as the Kitchen Supervisor at the Dumas Nursing Home and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands: Howard Thomas and Don Melton; one sister: Sherry Leonard; and 3 children: Janese Raines, Mary Thomas, and Johnny Thomas. Jeanette is survived by her daughter: Brenda Carol Reece; and son: Robert Thomas. She leaves a large family of 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her niece: Terri Adams; and nephews: Michael Donoho, Robert Donoho, and Danny Donoho.
