Jerry Dewayne Lowry went home to be with Jesus on March 2, 2021. Services will be at First Baptist Church in Channing, Texas on Friday, March 5 at 2 p.m. with Bob Miller officiating. Jerry was born to Albert and Lucille Lowry on March 26, 1942 in Dumas. Jerry graduated from high school in Delhi, Oklahoma, in 1960. Jerry met his wife Carol in 1958 and they were married two years later on April 25, 1960 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Shortly thereafter they moved to Dumas where they went on to have three sons: Donnie, Paul, and Waylon. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Jerry loved the Lord, his family, and his church. Jerry retired from Colorado Interstate Gas after working there for more than 30 years. Throughout his life he held an unwavering faith in God that showed through to all who knew him. Jerry joins his parents Albert and Lucille, one brother Lonnie and one sister Gayle in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Carol, one brother, Sonny and one sister Anita, his sons: Donnie and wife Teresa of Nixon, Texas, Paul and his wife Staci of Dumas, and Waylon of Dumas. Jerry also has seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. John 8:51 - Truly Isay to you whoever obeys my word will never see death.
