Jerry Neal McCutchan, 78 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Sunray Church of Christ with David Ford, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 oclock to 7 oclock in the evening at the funeral home in Dumas. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~Morrison Funeral Directors. Jerry was born on April 10, 1942 in Dumas, TX to Dewart "Buster" and Mildred (James) McCutchan. He grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. After high school, Jerry served his country in the Army National Guard. When he returned home, he went to work for American Zinc. He later worked as a farmer and a cowboy before eventually becoming a mechanic for John Deere. He worked at John Deere for over 20 years before opening his own mechanic business, Field Ag Services, which he operated for over 20 years. Jerry loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandkids; he was the best Papa. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Barry. Jerry is survived by his wife Doris of the home; sons: Russell McCutchan and wife Wenda of Fayetteville, NC and Jay McCutchan and wife Susan of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Sierra, Olivia, and Samuel McCutchan. The family suggests, with gratitude, memorials be made to Dig It Bible Camp, Po Box 397, Sunray TX 79086.
