Jerry D. White, 80 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 o\x92clock in the morning on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Dumas Cemetery with Rev Jim Noble and Rev Tom Noble, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Jerry was born on April 23, 1934 to Jerry and Bertha (Sparkman) White in Spur Texas. He was united in marriage to Patricia Noble on February 3, 1958 in Floydada TX. The couple moved to Moore County in 1969 where they made their home. Jerry had worked at several grain elevators in the area as a supervisor. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Sunray where he served as songleader and taught Sunday School. He loved the outdoors, from everything to fishing, camping, gardening and working in his yard. He was a very loving family man to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jerry will be missed greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Pat of the home; daughters: Seretha Anthony and husband George of Lubbock, Kathy Perry and husband Chris of Clovis, Harlene Braman and Jimmy Norrid of Canyon, Jolene Kaus and husband Russell of Lebanon MO, Amanda Bridges and Daniel Bridges of Dumas; sons: Roger White and wife Trenna of Dumas, Ronnie White and wife Sandra of Sulphur Springs, and Randy White and wife Erica of Amarillo; brothers: Eugene Sparkman of Houston and Roger Sparkman of Florida; 24 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
