Jesse H. Brandon

Jesse H. Brandon 86 passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by former pastor Rev. John Wagoner. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Cemetery Sunray, Texas. Jesse Brandon was born March 7, 1920 in Oklahoma. He married Eva Helen Brandon in Acme, Texas on June 1, 1941. He had lived in the Texas Panhandle since 1946 moving to Dumas in 1965 and was a long time member of First United Methodist Church. Jesse worked for Diamond Shamrock Oil and Gas Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1980. In their 65 years of marriage, Jess and Helen traveled all over the United States, Canada and parts of Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Brandon on February 2, 2007; his parents; one brother; three sisters; two sons, Jerry Brandon in 1988 and Loyd Brandon in 1997 and granddaughter, Gloria Brandon in 1966. Survivors are; son, Gene Brandon and wife, Pat of Dumas; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren 1 great-great-grandchild; seven nieces and three nephews. The family will be at 504 Cherry.
