Jessie 'Maso' Sanchez, 70, of Etter, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at Bible Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Johnny Widener, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Jessie was born on July 4, 1948 in Houston TX to Henrietta Sanchez. Jessie was self-employed and enjoyed raising and working with cattle. He had a big heart and loved to help anyone in need. He married Rosa Ruiz, the love of his life, in Cactus on August 5, 1972. They enjoyed a wonderful 46 years together. When he was not working the cattle, he also enjoyed fishing and spending quiet time reading his Bible. Jessie loved his family and planned family cookouts for their enjoyment. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Jessie was a man who loved God very much and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jessie is preceded in death by his parents and numerous sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his wife Rosa of the home, son; Jessie Sanchez, Jr., daughter: Norma Reyes and husband Juan, sons: Raymond Sanchez and David Sanchez, grandchildren: Juan Reyes III, Raymond Sanchez, Alejandra Reyes, Jessie Reyes, Carlos Sanchez, Daniella Reyes, Liliana Sanchez, and great granddaughter; Melanie Reyes.
