Jesus Alberto Gutierrez-Rubio

Jesus Alberto Gutierrez-Rubio, 28 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. A Rosary will be recited at 6 oclock in the evening on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 oclock in the afternoon on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Jesus was born on November 15, 1990 to Luciano Gutierrez and Rosalina Rubio. He grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. He went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. Jesus enjoyed woodworking, traveling, kayaking, lifting weights, shooting and cooking. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nephews and playing his brother in FIFA. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be greatly missed. Jesus is survived by his parents, Luciano and Rosalina Gutierrez of the home; brother Lorenzo Gutierrez and wife Lorena of Dumas; sister: Diana Gutierrez of Round Rock; nephews: Enrique, Ivan, and Aaron; uncles: Marco Rubio and Oscar Sarabia both of Dumas, Reymundo Rubio of Dell City, TX and Luz De La Carmen of Mexico; numerous other extended family members and friends.
