Jesus Guzman Soto

Jesus Guzman Soto, 87 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 6 oclock in the evening on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Jesus was born on December 26, 1933 in Austin, TX to Lucio and Rosario (Guzman) Soto. He married his beloved wife Felicitas Lujano on October 14, 1953; she preceded him in death in 2010. Jesus had been a member of the community for over 48 years. He was a very hardworking man, a man of faith who devoted his life to taking care of his family. In his spare time, he loved fishing and dancing. Jesus was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Felicitas, he was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. Jesus is survived by his children: Carmen Soto of Abilene, TX, Maria Garcia and husband Ernest of Balch Springs, TX, Christina Morales and husband Francisco of Dumas, TX, Herminia Murga of Dumas, TX, Guadelupe Soto of Dumas, TX, Irene Soto and husband Euginio Machado of Dumas, TX, Raymond Soto and wife Angela of Amarillo, TX, and Jose Manuel Soto of Dumas, TX; brothers: Lucio Soto of Orange Grove, TX and Jose Gonzalez of Mathis, TX; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
