Jesus Antonio Shorty Olivas Jr, 20, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 in Amarillo. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Templo Elim De Las Asambleas De Dios with Rev. Jose Contreras, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Jesus Antonio was born March 5, 1988 in Snyder, Texas to Jesus and Hilda Olivas. He attended school in Dumas and loved to build model cars. Shorty was a life time resident of Dumas and a member of Templo Elim Church. Survivors include; his parents, Hilda and Jim Gutierrez; sisters, Ruth Nilda Olivas of Odessa and Synthia Ritchie and husband Steven of Dumas; Grandparents, Mr. Mrs. Moises Olivas of Presidio, Mr. Mrs. E.L. Gutierrez of Dumas; Grandfather, Librado Uranga of Presidio; nephew, Luis Antonio Olivas, niece, Sidney Mariah Lucero of Dumas.
