Jimmy Clark, 86 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at First Street Church, with Rev. Art Lynch, officiating with Brent Clark and Gordon Clark assisting. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. A family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 5 o'clock to 6:30 in the evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jimmy was born on December 5, 1929 in Hollis, OK to William and Ivory (Rowland) Clark. He was a resident of Dumas since 1967 and was a member of First Street Church. Jimmy married the love of his life, Suzanne 'Ann' Vaughn on January 7, 1950 in Shallowater, TX; she preceded him in death on August 25, 2009. Jimmy farmed for many years growing corn, wheat, and hybrid sorghum. His greatest joy was his family. Jimmy loved to terrorize his children and grandchildren. He made many friends, touched many lives, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife, Ann, he is preceded in death by his parents and 13 brothers and sisters. Jimmy is survived by his sons: Quintin Clark and wife Neta of Whitehouse, TX, Gordon Clark and wife Cheryl of Dumas, TX, Garry Gann and wife Rea of Lake Jackson, TX; daughter: Sharon Hamilton and husband Bill of Amarillo, TX; grandsons: Justin Clark and wife Carrie of Dumas, TX, Zane Hamilton and wife Tonya of Plano, TX, Blake Clark of Washington, D.C., Ethan Gann and wife Meagan of Pearland, TX; granddaughter: Shari Gann of Lake Jackson; great-grandchildren: Alexa and Kyla Clark and Taylor Hamilton; brother: Wayne Clark and wife Paula of Lubbock, TX; sisters: Sammi Simpson and husband Ted of Morton and Cleta Hobgood; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family request memorials be to Dumas Refuge, 1009 S Maddox Ave, Dumas, TX 79029, Moore County Senior Center, PO Box 2114, Dumas, TX 79029, or Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029.
