Jimmy Warren Everson, 76 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Dumas. Rev. John Sanders, pastor of the church will be officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jimmy was born on December 4, 1935 in Vivian, Texas to Warren and Maybelle Haskew Everson. He graduated from Crowell High School. Jimmy was united in marriage to Jenny Starr Everson on June 1, 1974 in Dumas, where they shared their life together. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2012. He worked at Diamond Shamrock until his retirement after more than thirtyfive years of employment. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he actively served. Jimmy was a beloved father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a very talented photographer. He also enjoyed woodworking on various projects. He liked to travel and also enjoyed fishing. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, Jenny, he was also preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Maybelle Everson. Jimmy is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Sands and husband Kelly of Texhoma, Kim Feemster and husband Ricke of Kim, CO, and Stephane Lee and husband Patrick of Amarillo one son, Jim Owen Everson and wife Angie of Stratford eight grandchildren, Heath Starnes of Dodge City, KS, Brandon Starnes of Amarillo, Justin Starnes of Amarillo, Ashton Feemster of Kim, CO, Candice Lee of Amarillo, Alexa Feemster of Kim, CO, Macy Everson of Stratford, and Erica Lee of Amarillo one sister, Sharon Westmoreland and husband Felix of Crowell one brother, Billy Everson and wife Barbara of Wichita Falls his motherinlaw, Genevive Allen of Dumas one brotherinlaw, Darrell Johnson of Yukon, OK three great grandchildren and numerous other extended family members. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 395, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 806 Hastings in Dumas.
