Jimmy Pendley, 55, of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church in Dumas with Grady Burkhalter, officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Jimmy was born January 4, 1962 in Dumas to Charles and Betty (Plant) Pendley. After graduating from High School, he went to work for Windstream where he would spend the next 38 years. Jimmy married Judy Colson April 14, 1984 and they made Dumas their home.
Jimmy liked doing yardwork and golfed just for fun. He was a coin collector and also collected anything that had to do with the United States Flag. He dearly loved the flag and anything to do with it. He liked to play golf for fun and relaxation but his great passions were his family, especially his grandchildren. Jimmy loved Dodge vehicles. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy enjoyed helping others and he was an excellent grill master who enjoyed feeding family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew; Jeremy Pendley.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Judy of the home; son: Johnny Gonzales of Wichita, KS; 'adopted' son: Nelson Silva and wife Michelle of Dumas; brothers: David Pendley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Mike Pendley of Muleshoe, TX; sister: Debbie Hatter of Dumas; granddaughters: Claudia Gonzales of Wichita, KS, Jocelynn and A'maree Silva of Dumas; several nieces and nephews and his loveable pets: Chica. Poncho, and Dakota.
