Jimmy Delane Stone

Jimmy Delane Stone, 77 of Sunray passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray.

Jimmy was born on September 11, 1946, in Lamar County, TX to Houston and Alice (Whalin) Stone. He graduated from Sunray High School and went on to honorably serve in U.S. Navy. He served from 1965 to 1969 receiving the Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. After his time in the Navy, he went to work for the City of Dumas until retirement.  He was so loved by his family and community and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents. five sisters; Frankie Evans, Mildred Bassham, Jerrye Shannon, Marth Jane Stone and Bettie Sue Cline, two brothers; Norman Stone, and Bob Stone.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and their families, numerous friends.
