Jimmy E. Wilson, 80 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, November 09, 2012. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas, with Pastor Mike Ecker officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jimmy was born on February 1, 1932 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Lee and Edna Gorrick Wilson. He honorably served his country in the US Army. Jimmy was united in marriage to Wanda Brown on August 30, 1952 in Anadarko, and they happily shared their life together in Dumas for sixty years. Jimmy worked as a truck driver for the City of Dumas for twentyone years. Prior to this, he worked at American Zinc for nineteen years. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Anadarko. Jimmy will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Billy Wilson, John Deputy and Bobby Wilson. Jimmy leaves behind his wife, Wanda of the home two sons, Gerald E. Wilson of Houston and Ronnie A. Wilson and wife Dee of Dumas one daughter, Debra J. Richardson of Amarillo three granddaughters, Lititia Rollo and Tabitha Spencer, both of Dumas, and Tiffany Pierre of Olaho, OR four grandsons, Ricky Rollo of Amarillo, Jeremy Wilson and Stephen Wilson, both of Dumas, and Sean Wilson of Houston and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029 or to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001.
