Jo Helen Morton 79 passed away Monday, June 23, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Art Lynch, minister of First Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Leib Cemetery, Morse, Texas. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Jo Helen was born October 3, 1928 in Levelland, Texas to N.L. and Toy Wood. On April 16, 1946 she married Frank Morton at Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Moore County since 1943. Jo Helen was a member of the Church of Christ, 6th and Meredith. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Ben Covington and staff, Memorial Hospital ER and ICU staff and Memorial Hospice staff. Survivors include; her husband Frank of the home, daughters, JoAnn Green and husband Lance of Vernon, Sherry Robinett and husband John of Dumas; son, James Morton and wife Whitney of Pampa; brother Nelson Wood of Cushman, AR; sisters, Toy Moore of Weatherford, Tx, Sandy Wilbanks of Grandview, Tx, Ann Robertson of Meade, Ks; grandchildren, Brandi, Kenna, Jennifer, Tandi, Micah, Austin, Caden; and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Tx. 79029. The family will be at 921 N. Maddox in Dumas.
