Joe Luiz Guevara

Joe Luiz Guevara, 42 of Cactus, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012. Services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jesus Rivera officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Joe was born on July 21, 1969 in Dumas to Eloy Guevara and Mary Lou Baeza. He graduated from Dumas High School. He enjoyed playing football, basketball and fishing. He loved listening and dancing to tejano music. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Angelina and Frank Guevara, his maternal grandfather, Jessie Gutierrez, and three uncles, Jacinto Jr, Ray, and Ramiro Gutierrez. Joe is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Baeza, of Cactus, his father, Eloy Guevara, of Denver, his wife, Maria, of Cactus, three daughters, Destini and Desiree Guevara, of Odessa and Frances Guffy, of Junction City, KS, two sisters, Jenny and husband Raymundo Uriostegui, of Port Neches, TX, and April and husband Googie Bracamontes, of Dumas, grandmother, Lala Gutierrez, of Cactus, and four grandchildren.
