Joe Presser, 76, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 in Dumas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Joe Presser was born August 30, 1932 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Edward and Vivian Presser. He was a US Army veteran. On July 1, 1961 he married Leona Thompson in Amarillo, Texas. She preceded him in death April 9, 2007. He worked for Diamond Shamrock as a mechanic until his retirement. Joe loved his family and he cared and was compassionate to his friends. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1956 and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include; son, Jody Presser and wife, Judy of Dumas; brothers, Bob Presser of Dallas, Bill Presser and Harold Presser both of Okmulgee, Okla; step-sons, Kenneth and Charles Faulkner of Dumas; grandchildren, Alan, Chris, Tina, Justin, Jared; great-grandchildren, Heath, Nicholas, Lyndsi, and Deric.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd St, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 11302 Calle De Ore in Dumas.
