John P. Bailey

John P. Bailey 59 passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Ulrey, pastor of First Baptist Church, Cactus, TX., officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2007, in Highland Cemetery, Deport, TX. Officiant is Rev. Floyd Leverton, Retired Minister of Paris, TX. John was born May 20, 1948 in Cunningham, Texas to Chester E. and Ella L. Bailey. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1960 and graduated from Dumas High School. He had been employed by Bailey Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Bailey. Survivors include his brother, Travis Bailey of Cartwright, OK; three nieces, Jeannie Bailey Olguin, Cheryl Bailey Burch, Cindy Bailey Engel; three nephews, James Bailey, David Bailey, and Ronnie Bailey.
