John C. Ward, III

John C. Ward, 70, passed away March 4, 2010. Private family services were held March 4th in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. John was born July 3, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri to Hazel and John Ward, Jr. He served in the US Navy and was an explosive technician. He loved to visit with his friends and family. He liked to restore old cars and go fishing. John had been a resident of Dumas for 15 years and was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, John Ward, IV. Survivors include sisters, Helen Lucero and husband James of Tularosa, NM, Virginia Hermes of Overland, KS, Carole Godinez of Amarillo brother Bert Ward and wife Laura of Canterbury, New Zealand.
