Johnny "PaPa" Moreno, 78, of Dumas, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. Due to COVID, the family is postponing services at this time for a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Johnny was born on January 12, 1942 in Brady, Texas. He was married to Janie Moreno on November 8, 1966. "Papa" Johnny loved "ALL" his kids and there were MANY! His biggest passion was watching "them" play whether he knew you personally or not, in whatever sport they participated in. He also loved the game of golf in his retirement playing anytime he could. He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Lupe Cortez, Benny Moreno and wife Linda, and Ismael Moreno. He is survived by his wife Janie, of the home, daughter: Angie and husband Steve Brush of Canyon; son: Johnny and wife Clessie Moreno of Dumas; grandchildren: Michael Flores, Matthew and wife Jency Brush all of Amarillo, Greysen and Gunner Moreno of Dumas; great-grandchildren: Devin Flores, Brayden Flores, Easton Flores and Brooks Brush all of Amarillo; sisters and brothers: Sara Cortez, Rudy Moreno, Yolanda Richardson, Roy Moreno, Joe Moreno and Alice Moreno.
