Johnny E. Walthall

Johnny Walthall 77 died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in Dumas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Dan Bouchelle, pastor of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Johnny was born July 15, 1929 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Clarence and Bernita Walthall. He served four years in United States Air Force. On March 28, 1957 he married Laquitta Reeves in Dumas. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1956. Johnny retired from the Dumas Police Department in 1983 after 27 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by; his wife of the home; daughter Kelli Kleman and husband, Pat of Amarillo; son John Walthall of Dumas; daughter LaJonna Perkins and husband, Sean of Amarillo; sister Sally Dulaney of Granbury, Tx.;seven grandchildren Clint Fewell, Derek Perkins, Christopher Perkins, Hanna Perkins, John Matthew Walthall, JoDee Walthall, and Kara Walthall and his faithful schnauzer Angus.
