Jose Mateo Mendoza

Jose Mateo Mendoza, 48 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Jose was born on September 21, 1973, in San Juan de la Vera Cruz, Satevo, Chih., Mexico to Martin and Maria (Melendez) Mendoza. He worked for Cactus Welder for several years. Jose was united in marriage to Guadalupe Gonzalez on June 8, 1996, in Dumas, TX.

Jose was a hard-working good man and a devout Catholic. He had a deep and abiding love for God. Jose had a love for his wife, children, and family that was beyond compare. He was the most kind-hearted, giving, helpful person, always willing to help anyone with just about anything. Jose will be lovingly remembered for his little white truck and will be loved and dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jose is survived by his wife, Guadalupe of the home; daughter: Ashley Mendoza of the home; son: Aaron Mendoza of the home; mother: Maria Melendez of Mexico; siblings: Calletano Hernandez and wife Isabel of Perryton, TX, Martina Hernadez of Mexico, Gustavo Borunda and wife Felipa of Sunray, TX, Efrain Mendoza and wife Rosa of Dumas, Marisela Mendoza and husband Cesar Barrera of Mexico, Patricia Mendoza and husband Alvaro Ruiz of Mexico, Irma Mendoza of Mexico, Luis Mendoza and wife Evelyn of Dallas, TX, Viviana Mendoza and husband Jaime Mendoza of Dumas, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

José nació el 21 de septiembre de 1973 en San Juan de la Vera Cruz, Satevo, Chih., México, hijo de Martín y María (Meléndez) Mendoza. Trabajó para Cactus Welder durante varios años. José se unió en matrimonio con Guadalupe González el 8 de junio de 1996, en Dumas, TX.

José era un buen hombre trabajador y un católico devoto. Tenía un amor profundo y permanente por Dios. José tenía un amor por su esposa, hijos y familia que era incomparable. Era la persona más bondadosa, generosa y servicial, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a cualquiera con casi cualquier cosa. José será recordado amorosamente por su troquita blanca y será amado y extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.

Fue precedido en la muerte por su padre.

A José le sobreviven su esposa, Guadalupe de la casa; hija: Ashley Mendoza del hogar; hijo: Aarón Mendoza del hogar; madre: María Meléndez de México; hermanos: Calletano Hernandez y esposa Isabel of Perryton, TX, Martina Hernandez of Mexico, Gustavo Borunda y esposa Felipa of Sunray, TX, Efraín Mendoza y esposa Rosa de Dumas, Marisela Mendoza y esposo César Barrera de México, Patricia Mendoza y esposo Álvaro Ruiz de México, Irma Mendoza de México, Luis Mendoza y esposa Evelyn de Dallas, TX, Viviana Mendoza y esposo Jaime Mendoza de Dumas, TX; numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos.
