Jose Guerrero Murga

Jose Guerrero Murga Sr., 58 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Jose was born on November 16, 1960 in Santa Maria Deloro Durango, Mexico to Jesus Murga Sr. and Santiaga Murga. He was united in marriage to Herminia on June 13, 1986. Jose worked at Sunray Coop for 13 years and later for Dumas Coop for 14 years as a truck driver. Nothing was more important to Jose than his family, he loved being with them no matter what the occasion. He also loved to garden and do yard work. He was preceded in death by his mother, an aunt, a brother, and a nephew. Jose is survived by his wife: Herminia Murga of the home; children: Jose Manuel Soto of Dumas, Jose Guerrero Murga, Jr. and wife Elyssa of Dalhart, and Marisela Murga and husband Gerardo Chacon of Dumas; parents: Jesus and Juanita Murga of Dumas; grandchildren; Dominic, Adan, Adrian, Alejandro, Abraham, Emily, and Uriel; several brothers and sisters from Mexico; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, compadres, and god children.
