Jose Luis Nava

Jose Luis Nava, 54, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6 oclock in the evening at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 oclock in the afternoon on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jose was born November 27, 1964 in Oaxtepec Morales, Mexico to Aurelio and Carolina (Palacios) Nava. He found the love of his life, Cleme Garcia and married her on July 2, 1997 in Dumas. Jose loved soccer and could often be found playing or watching his favorite teams on television. He was a part of the founding of Dumas soccer league. Jose was a loving father and enjoyed being with his sons and travelling to Mexico with the family. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was a devoted family man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jose is survived by his wife Cleme of the home; children: Jairo and Ivan Nava both of the home; parents: Aurelio and Carolina Nava of Mexico; brothers: Enrique Nava and wife Maria of Dumas and Aurelio Nava, Jr. and wife Denisse of California; sisters: Violeta Sida and husband Fernando of Mexico, Alma Nava of Mexico, and Mayanin Nava of Dumas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
