Joseph Joe Solomon, 59, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 23, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with flag detail by American Legion Post 224 of Dumas. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Joseph Joe Solomon was born May 16, 1951 in Wellington, Texas to Wyatt Hester and Martha Mae Solomon. He served in the US Army. On May 17, 1992 he married Billine Williams in Dumas, Texas. He was a security guard at Silverhawk Security. Joe had been a resident of Dumas for 43 years and attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Joseph Dale Solomon, and beloved uncle, Isaac Ike Solomon of Sunray. Survivors include his wife Billine of the home sons, Jeremy Solomon and wife, Kelly, Jason Solomon and wife, Tina all of Sterling, Colo daughter, Jennie Poos and husband, Marty of Sterling, Colo stepsons, Ty Williams and wife, Nicole of Dumas, Lance Williams and wife, Melissa of San Antonio, Bill BG Williams and wife, Belynda of Amarillo sisters, Irene Elliott Wallace and husband, Frank, Linda Dean Jones, Kathy Ann Chun all of Lufkin, Wanda Kay Foote of Amarillo, Charlene Lane and husband John of Deer Park brother, J.W. Solomon and wife, Betty of Deer Park and 11 grandchildren. The family suggests in memory of Joseph Dale Solomon that memorials be made to the Amarillo VA, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX 79106. The family will be at 1108 Zauk in Dumas.
