Josephina Tijerina, 87, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 8, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 9 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Barragan as celebrant. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Josephina Tijerina was born August 18, 1923 in Orange, Texas to Augustine and Eloisa Tijerina. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Hereford all of her life before moving to Dumas in 2005. She dearly loved her family as they did her. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Tijerina Sr. Survivors include: daughters, Pauline Sambrano of Amarillo, Francis Gonzales of Hereford, Mary T. Schneekloth of Houston, Janie Moreno of Dumas, Carol Pina of Amarillo and Linda Nino of Dumas sons, Lupe Tijerina of Dumas, Manuel Tijerina of Harlingen, Joe Tijerina and Ted Tijerina of Dumas 26 grandchildren, many great and greatgreatgrandchildren 1 sister and 3 brothers.
