Joyce Ragsdale

Joyce Ragsdale, 76, of Dumas, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Joyce Ragsdale was born December 3, 1932 in Pampa, Texas to Vernon and Amy Stewart. She was a homemaker. She married Clinton R. Ragsdale on July 5, 1990 in Dumas. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1998. Joyce had been a resident of Dumas since 1974 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband and son, Rayburn and Dale Laughlin in 1970, her daughter, Belinda Gay Laughlin in 1967 and brother, Ed Stewart in 2007. Survivors include; Sister-In-Law, Celia Stewart of Locust Grove, GA; nieces Janice Stewart and husband, Tim of Newnan, GA; Charmaine Smith and husband, Mitchell of Locust Grove, GA, Joy Potts of Portland, ME; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to Calvary Baptist Church, Mission Trip Fund, PO Box 633, Dumas, TX 79029 or to a favorite charity.
