Juan A Lara De La Cruz

Juan A. Lara De La Cruz, 66, of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Funeral services will be 10 A.M. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Primer Iglesia Bautista. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Juan was born on May 28, 1951 in Meoqui, Chihuahua, MX to Manuel and Virginia (De La Cruz) Lara. He was united in marriage to Carmen Ruiz on January 12, 1984. Juan had been a resident of the community for over 35 years. Juan was a very talented concrete finisher as his work can be seen in Dumas and the Panhandle. He also enjoyed gardening and remodeling his home, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Juan is survived by his wife Carmen of the home; son: Jerry Lara of Tuscon, AZ; daughters: Marissa Jones of Little Elm, TX and Diana Calvillo and husband Johnny of Dumas; step-son: Sammy Escarciga of Dumas; brothers: Ruben Lara and wife Juanita of Chaparral, NM and Rafael Lara and wife Rosie of Sunland Park, NM; sisters: Maria Amaya and husband Robert, Blanca Esparza and husband Miguel all of Sunland Park, NM, and Martina Lara de Rodriguez and husband Rick of El Paso, TX; grandchildren: Maxi, Gerardo, Vicente, Sophie, Emma, Isaac, Alexis, Jasmine, Johnny, Samantha, Dallas and Danny.
