Juanita Viola Wingo

Juanita Viola Wingo, 91, of Sunray, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Monday, October 23, 2017, at Sunray Baptist Church with Bruce Broxon officiating. Burial will follow at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Juanita was born on February 10, 1926 in Elk City, OK to Willis and Francis Mutschler. She married Leroy Wingo on November 20, 1943 in Elk City. She had worked at the Berlin school where she cooked for the students and also drove a school bus. The couple later moved to Sunray where they made their home. Juanita was an avid reader, loved county music and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She attended Sunray Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Joe Wingo; brother: Carl Mutschler; sisters: Laquita Ely and Mae Clark. She is survived by her sons: Gary Wingo and wife Anita of Ramona, OK and Tom Wingo and wife Brenda of Sunray; granddaughters: Tawnya Hanigan, Melissa Ash, Melinda Ply, Monica Deherrera; grandson: Travis Wingo; 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; brother: Darrel Mutschler and wife Barbara of Azle, TX; sister: Glenys Teter of Reisel, TX.
