Judy McKinney

Judy McKinney, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in Dumas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Booth, pastor of the Christian Church of God of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Judy McKinney was born October 11, 1927 in Bryan, Texas to Herman and Elizabeth Carroll. On August 2, 1946 she married C. D. McKinney at Turnersville, Texas. She was a seamstress and worked for Lorenes Draperies for 44 years. Judy had been a resident of Dumas since 1953 and was a member of the Christian Church of God of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her brother Sonny Carroll in 1989. Survivors include; her husband C.D. of the home; son, Vick McKinney and wife Lori of Tempe, AZ; daughter, Sherree Bartlett of Dumas; son-in-law, Sid Bartlett of Arlington, VA; brothers, Mitt Carroll and wife, Marynell of Guymon, Glynn Carroll and wife, Sue of Smyrna, GA; sister, Patsy Knoff of Angleton, TX; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Memorials may be made to VFW Post 9022, 330 W. 1st St, Dumas, Tx. 79029. The family will be at 404 Cedar in Dumas.
