Julia Gutierrez

Julia Gutierrez, 80 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o\x92clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o\x92clock in the evening on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Julia was born on September 23, 1934 to Pioquinto and Andrea (Soto) Zamora in Helena, TX. She had been a member of the community for many years. Julia loved to listen to music and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Julia will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Eugene Gutierrez; and son: Florentino Gutierrez. Julia is survived by five daughters: Cruz Hernandez, Maria Catano and husband Alex, Julie Gutierrez, Anita Carbojal all of Dumas, Josefina Gutierrez of Lubbock; four sons: Greg Gutierrez and wife Geneva, Victor, Guadalupe, and Ernest Gutierrez all of Dumas; two sisters: Modesta Nabarette of Olton, TX and Francisca Cantu of Tahoka,TX; twenty-three grandchildren; seventy-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
