Katherine Lucille McGalliard

Katherine Lucille McGalliard, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 3, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Another service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Denton, with Rev. John Peel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. McGalliard was born March 22, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas to JohnJay and AnnaGranny Peel. On May 26, 1948 she married Mack McGalliard in Denton, Texas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, crafts, and quilting. She had been a resident of Dumas for 17 years and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jack McGalliard, grandsons, Mark McGalliard, Paul Wheeler, Christopher McGalliard, and her sister, Nancy Carroll. Survivors include; her husband Mack McGalliard of the home; sons, Curtis McGalliard and wife, Mary Lou of Burch Tree, MO, Thomas McGalliard and wife Linda of Argyle, TX, Amos McGalliard and wife Gaylon of Dumas, Phillip McGalliard and wife, Toni of Aurora, CO, Douglas McGalliard and wife, Kris of Amarillo; daughter, Kathryn Swift and husband Ed of Argyle, TX; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sisters, Louise Owens of Little Elm, TX and Angie Culver of Denton; brother Rev. John Peel, Jr; and many nieces and nephews. The family will have a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Deberry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Dr, Denton, TX. 76201.
