Kathie Black

Kathie Black - 56 of Dumas passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 15, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Loke Marquez, deacon of First Baptist Church Spanish Mission officiating. Kathie Black was born December 27, 1950 in Dumas, Texas to Edward and Mary Phillips. For over twenty years she had been a cook at Ly-N-Brag Truck Stop. She had been a security guard at the meat packing plant for four years. Kathie was a life time resident of Dumas. She loved life and adored her children and grandchildren. Survivors include; three daughters, Becky Robertson and husband, Carl of Hugoton, KS, Christy C. Franklin and husband, Josh of Waldren, AK, Tina Guevara and husband, Julio of Dumas; one son; life time friend, Trisha Billington of Dumas, two sons and one daughter; sister, Lena Hanson of Dumas; one brother; three grandchildren. The family will be at 105 N. Birge in Dumas.
